The role of governing bodies
Governors are responsible for overseeing the management side of a school: strategy, policy, budgeting and staffing. They enable their school to run as effectively as possible, working alongside senior leaders and teachers to provide excellent education to children. But governors can also play an effective role in supporting staff mental health and wellbeing.
In the video below Sinéad Mc Brearty, CEO of Education Support, talks with school governor Adam Thomas and Hannah Stolten, CEO of Governors for Schools about the role of governors in supporting staff mental health.
